VW Volkswagen Caddy Pick Up Mk1 1989 Project
VW Caddy MK1 project for sale, needs some work but would make a fun project and driver for anyone wanting to put the time into it.
1.6 diesel engine and 4 speed gearbox
Lowered with front adjustable coilovers and riding on Compomotive alloy wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes. GTI tartan seats fitted, I put covers over them so they don’t get ruined. Drivers seat has a worn patch on the bolster.
Comes with removable colour matched fibreglass top over the bed, keeps rain out and the metal is in good condition. I was planning on restoring it to its original ride height to use for work so comes with loads of spare OEM suspension parts as well as a box of bits from the last owner.
Needs work, currently not on the road. Suspected head gasket issue, no coolant. Alternator is weak and needs to be replaced and some panels have rust spots on them. Engine starts with a jump and ran well when I tried it over summer. Loads of history and invoices for work done since I’ve owned it. Viewing is highly recommended.
Selling because I just don’t have the time to do right by this lovely truck. It’s great for summer drives and it turns heads wherever it goes.
