VOLKSWAGEN GOLF MK2 1989 3 DOOR 1.6 WEBER CARB
The car is 1.3 on the V5
The Body is good couple of rust spots and a little lacquer peel on front wings and tailgate. Very solid underneath.
Engine is a rebuild 1.6 with new Webber carb, starts ok but has been sitting for some time and need’s plenty of choke to start and warm up. Goes very well when warm no nasty noises from anywhere.
Started her for the first time for a while and she started ok with plenty of choke and took her for drive. Pretty good considering she has been sitting for sometime, but did loose idle a couple of times at junctions, but started straight away. Please be aware she is an old girl that needs some TLC etc. I have been asked about engine/gearbox/clutch all are very good ie no smoke or rattles from engine and gearbox changes well with new clutch.
