1999 Mini 998cc
Mini 1989 998cc I purchased this mini a few months ago with all good intentions to lightly restore it but reluctant to start it and rip into it coz I don’t get much time to myself let alone to do the mini up.
It’s not as bad as some minis I’ve had
Needs a front headlamp panel,scuttle panel, ns a panel,sills and a little bit on floor pans under your feet but it certainly doesn’t need whole floor pans. Inner sills feel solid, don’t look bad in boot for rot either. What I can make out it’s never been welded which is nicer than dealing with some peoples crap welding.
It turns over and is sparking and we tipped a bit of petrol down carb and it back fired so most probably leads on wrong. I cannot go any further with the running as there is no exhaust at all so somebody must of had this away. I have the other mini lite alloy. Interior is real nice condition standard radio. Paintwork is crap laquer peel. Defo worth doing with 90 odd thousand miles on clock
