1987 Mercedes G Wagon Canvas Top SWB 300GD RHD (OM617A Turbo Diesel)
I have own this G since 2013 and in that time it has has the body work restored with New Mercedes Benz parts all round. New N/S front wing, headlight surrounds, all rubber rails and seals replaced. Also fitted are new inner & outer door window scrapers. New windscreen, new windscreen-wiper mechanism & spindles and new heated front seats.
All other items have been powder-coated satin black including; inner front wings & radiator grill, bumpers and dash panels.
Previous to my ownership this G was upgraded with a 50mm suspension lift and OM617A specific turbo diesel with larger capacity chain-driven oil pump and oil squirters to reduce piston heat. This has been completely rebuilt and includes; new pistons, turbo, valve and valve guides, all bearings and new (std) crank and chains….
