1987 Bentley Eight 6.75L V8 – Rare Fern Green – Loads of Work Done!
My Lovely 1987 Bentley Eight 6.75L V8 – Rare Fern Green – 89k – Loads of Work Done! Spent over £15k+ in restoration costs.
LOW RESERVE
My absolutely beautiful 1987 Bentley Eight 6.75L V8. Finished in the rarest fern green (only a handful were made) with cream leather.
I’ve owned this car for over 3 years now & it has been fantastic! Always gets me from A to B. Starts without fail.
I restored this Eight from ground up, it was in dry storage for 26 years!! I fell in love at first sight & had to put it back on the road.
My Bentley Specialist started the work & did absolutely everything mechanical to get back on the road: replaced the fuel tank, fuel pump, battery, spark plugs, all fluids, tyres, brakes, service, steering, the list goes on & on!! Cost over £5000+.
Annoyingly, the lacquer started to peel & looked faded, so I booked it in for a full bare metal respray in its original colour. It was done by one of the best classic car paint shops in the country (think Ferrari GTO standard). Cost over £6500.
Next on the list was the wood. It all got sent off to the boys in Crewe & got re-veneered, cost over £1600. Looks lovely.
I’ve personally spent over £15k in restoration costs. It currently has 10 months MOT (picked up some minor advisories, but nothing major, my garage was happy enough).
I have the full V5, spare keys, all HPI clear. Private plate (A1 XYC) is not included. Back on its original plate, ‘D279 CFR’.
Overall, she is what she is. It’s a classic car, do not expect perfection at all!
