1986 Classic Mini 1275 Rally Austin Morris
Hi and welcome to the auction of our gorgeous little Rally Mini!
I bought this for the wife (I wanted it really but I have too many toys as it is so had to think on my feet) from an AA mechanic who had owned it several years.
Mechanically he pretty much upgraded everything; It has a 1275 twin carb engine that goes like a rocket! Apparently a ‘short shift’ gearbox?, fully updated coil over suspension, disc brakes, poly bushes, custom exhaust etc. which is pretty much what attracted us to it…
It has updated comfy seats, custom dash, then we get to the good bit – the outside…
It’s had the full Rally treatment!
Paddy Hopkirk roof rack, complete set of spare 13” deep dish wheels and tyres, brand new chrome bumpers, MK1 grille and moustache, clear lenses, headlight guards, brand new Wipac spotlights, vintage reverse lamp and a fully array of classic Rally decals throughout which really make it stand out from the crowd!
It was -4 this morning and I pulled the choke out, turned the key and it fired straight up, that should tell you everything you need to know….
And it’s unbelievably fun to drive too! It’s just a crazy little go kart with a really pokey engine, you can’t stop smiling from the moment you climb in, and you get smiles from everywhere you go too!
It comes with a brand new 12 months mot and is ready to drive away……
