1982 Ford Escort Xr3 Rs Alloys Restored
Extremely sound Ford Escort XR3 Mk3 Hatchback. This being an early car is on carburettors and not injection and has the four speed manual transmission. The bodywork is in superb condition with no rust, the engine bay is clean and the boot floor solid. A lot of work has gone into this XR3 in its restoration and it shows, the interior is unmarked and original.
The engine runs perfectly and the gearbox smooth, the wheels are from and RS1600. The door pockets are missing but otherwise a complete car, viewing is highly recommended.
This XR3 features a tuned version of the 1.6 L CVH engine fitted with a twin-choke Weber carburettor, uprated suspension and numerous cosmetic changes. Fuel injection arrived in October 1982, making the early cars more sought after.
These are getting rare and desirable, a great car to enjoy at car shows and clubs.
