1980 Triumph Dolomite Sprint Automatic
A Triumph Dolomite Automatic (first registered 1st August 1980) for sale on behalf of our elderly client who is in his early 80’s and has decided to give up driving for health reasons.
Briefly looking back through some of the cars history, there is a receipt to the present owner for the cars purchase detailing the mileage on 10.6.89 at 97,000 which justifies why the car was reshelled in 2010 invoices (approx spend for these works total @ £15,000) and some photographs are included in the cars history along with old MOT’s, receipts, etc.
Overall the car is in very good condition, the over view is quite striking in Tahiti Blue, originally it was British Racing Green.
The interior of the car is beige cloth with beige door cards although these are a little faded with age, it has the benefit of rear seatbelts, the headlining is in good condition, dashboard is good, the door cappings look to be original hence they are showing signs of age without detracting from the general overview of the car but there is some peeling lacquer. The drivers seat has a tear in the base and back and does need some attention/possibly webbing. The bodyshell and paintwork are still in exceptional condition apart from a small crack in the paintwork to the upper part of the drivers rear door and slight bubbling to the lower part of the same door.
The engine top end is noisy and sounds tappety so an investigation/attention to this aspect is required.
